Hello

I am happy to say as a family we are back on track. In the past year, We have said good bye to a cherished family member and hello to a new one, faced a health crisis, going to middle school, first dances, living with a pre-teen and new career opportunities. We have decided to stay put where we are and to love the things we can't change. To embrace everyday because it is truly a gift and to look at our failures as chances to grow.

Okay right now you are probably gaging at all the spiritual insight I am spewing and are wondering where is the miniature 'Snooki' you have grown to love. I am still here but as I approach (gulp...) fifty, I doing a little self reflection. What is truly important and what is truly bullshit. There are only two things important in this whole world, your health and your family. Without either, I would be nothing.

Ashley is driving me nuts but I know one day this will pass. Rich drives me crazy and I know he loves me more than anything in this world. I get frustrated by what I can't do anymore but I am learning to accept this is my journey. I am still figuring out what I want to do when I grow up. It sounds crazy but at almost fifty, I feel there is one more card I can play and I am going to play it!

So my thought for today is enjoy the here and now, enjoy the little victories and try to see the big picture. You will be happier in the long run if you do.
